Spring into the heart of Hyssnaskolan for an unforgettable day filled with laughter, fun, and friendly competition as Barnloppet returns for its third consecutive year on Hyssna Day 2026. This beloved community event is designed to bring joy and movement to children of all ages through a series of engaging races that cater to different skill levels.
The festival kicks off with the Miniloppet, perfect for little ones born between 2021 and 2025 who are eager to explore their first steps in organized running. This short but sweet course spans about 150 meters and features simple yet playful obstacles that encourage kids to run alongside a parent if they prefer.
For slightly older children aged 6 to 11, the Barnloppet offers an invigorating route of approximately 1.4 kilometers through gentle terrain around Hyssnaskolan's scenic grounds. This race is tailored for young runners who enjoy both exercise and play in nature’s embrace.
The most challenging course is reserved for those born between 2011 and 2014, with the Juniorloppet stretching over a distance of 2.7 kilometers through varied terrain that tests endurance while still maintaining an element of fun. Each finish line awaits not just cheers but also medals and goodie bags filled with treats to celebrate their achievements.
With space for up to 250 young participants across all three races, the deadline to register is August 30, 2026. This event promises a day brimming with activity, camaraderie, and pure joy as children of every age group gather to share in this special community tradition.
