HOT-TO-GO (5 or 10 miles)

Immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of Hurn Forest for our HOT-TO-GO race on July 18, 2027. The event kicks off at Hospital Services Cricket Club with a leisurely start time of 10am, perfect for those lazy summer Sundays. Participants can choose between two distances: a scenic 5-mile route or the slightly longer 10-mile adventure.
The trail is well-maintained and mostly hardstanding, making it accessible even without specialized footwear. The course winds through Hurn Forest, offering runners stunning natural scenery with plenty of opportunities to enjoy the tranquility of the woods. As you jog along, expect a soundtrack filled with pop hits, enhancing your running experience and setting an upbeat tone for the event.
For those looking to add some flair to their run, pop attire is highly encouraged but not mandatory. Expect to see runners decked out in leg warmers, pom-poms, tutus, and more, creating a lively and colorful scene throughout the forest.
The race includes several amenities designed with your comfort in mind. A Run DMC aid station will be set up at both the start/finish line of each lap, offering refreshments such as snacks and drinks—don't forget to bring your own reusable cup for sustainability! Inside Hospital Services Cricket Club, you'll find a bag drop area along with restrooms available throughout the day.
Registration opens at 9:15am on race day, giving participants ample time before the start of the event. The minimum age requirements are set at 16 years old for the 5-mile distance and 17 years old for the 10-mile route.
A portion of your entry fee goes directly to Forestry England to support ongoing forest maintenance efforts, while a donation box will be available on site to assist Hospital Services Cricket Club in fundraising for an essential defibrillator.
The event is licensed by the Trail Running Association and adheres strictly to UK Athletics rules. The race day promises to be a memorable experience with its unique blend of fun, community spirit, and scenic beauty.
