About the Event

Break the ice on your winter running season at the Hot Chocolate Hustle 5K & 10K on January 25, 2026, hosted on the beautiful natural trails of FortWhyte Alive in Winnipeg. This fourth annual event invites runners and walkers to choose their distance and enjoy a timed, wave-start format designed to enhance the trail experience and ensure seating at the post-race pancake breakfast. Every participant receives custom 2026 swag, a finisher medal, and of course, steaming hot chocolate to celebrate their accomplishment.

Please note that start waves have limited capacity and changes between waves or distances cannot be accommodated, so choose your preferred slot carefully during registration. Whether you’re tackling the 10K for a brisk challenge or enjoying a 5K stroll with family, this event blends frosty fun, community warmth, and a delicious post-race feast in one unforgettable winter morning.
