The race starts promptly at 6 AM with competitors facing a strict 36-hour time limit to complete their journey. Participants are required to provide their own crew support for the duration of the race. Each runner must have a minimum of one person in their crew who will assist with logistics such as transportation, food provision, hydration management, and ensuring compliance with strict aid station rules. Runners should prepare by bringing at least 12 gallons of water and 30 pounds of ice to sustain them throughout the course.
