Holiday Lake 50K++

The Holiday Lake Rabbit Run returns on February 13, 2027, offering runners an unforgettable trail experience around picturesque Holliday Lake. This year's edition features three distances: the challenging 50k and 25k loops, as well as a more accessible 10k+ route for those looking to join in with family or friends.
Runners can expect stunning single-track trails that wind through the serene landscape of Holiday Lake, providing breathtaking views at every turn. The course includes over 2,000 feet of elevation gain and is known for its diverse weather conditions—ranging from mild spring days to snowy winter mornings. Aid stations are strategically placed approximately every four miles, with water and snacks available at mile eight.
Registration perks include custom Rabbit "EZ-Tee" long-sleeve shirts for 50k and 25k finishers. Additional swag can be purchased during registration or on race day, including t-shirts and hoodies. The event kicks off Friday evening with a pre-race briefing where pizza is provided to all participants.
Lodging options are plentiful at the Holiday Lake 4H Educational Center, ranging from heated bunkhouses for groups of up to 90 runners to rustic unheated cabins suitable for smaller teams or individuals. Tent camping near the start/finish line also offers a scenic alternative with minimal fees involved.
The Holiday Lake 25k and 50k are part of the Lynchburg Ultra Series, making this event perfect not only as an introduction to ultra-distance running but also as a key race in any seasoned runner's calendar.
