Holiday Half Marathon & 5K

The Holiday Half Marathon is an annual community celebration organized by A Running Legacy Inc., set for Sunday, December 20, 2026. This festive race offers three exciting options: the half marathon, a scenic and challenging route; a family-friendly 5K run/walk; and the Penguin Waddle Kid's Run designed especially for younger participants.
The event takes place at Fairplex in Pomona, California, where runners of all ages can enjoy an energetic atmosphere filled with holiday cheer. Participants will gather early on race day to pick up their bibs between 6:00am and 12:00pm directly at the venue. For those who prefer a head start or need assistance with pre-race preparations, bib pickup is also available in Brea at A Snails Pace from 10:00am to 4:00pm on Saturday, December 19.
The race day festivities kick off bright and early as runners lace up their shoes for the half marathon and 5K events. With a scenic course that winds through parts of Pomona, both races offer participants stunning views and an engaging route. The Penguin Waddle Kid's Run is scheduled to start shortly after with its own unique set of challenges designed specifically for children.
Runners can expect a warm welcome at the finish line where they will be greeted by supporters and treated to post-race festivities that capture the spirit of the holiday season. Whether you're an experienced runner or just starting out, this event promises a memorable day filled with camaraderie and fun.
The Holiday Half Marathon is more than just a race; it's a community gathering where runners can enjoy the beauty of Pomona while celebrating the joyous occasion of the holidays together.
