The Hog Jog 2026 returns to Stratford, Ontario on Wednesday, June 17th. The event offers a 3.5K run/walk and two options for the 10K, including one specifically designed for youth under 15 years old.
Race morning finds participants gathering at the Stratford Rotary Complex, located at 353 McCarthy Road in downtown Stratford. This charming city is known for its vibrant community spirit and rich cultural heritage, making it a perfect backdrop for an evening of fun and purpose. The park setting offers a picturesque start line, with lush greenery framing the starting area as runners prepare to take on their chosen distance.
The Hog Jog originally began in 2005 under the banner of OPIC’s Pork for a Cause initiative. Over the years, this event has grown into an annual tradition, attracting over 1,000 participants each year who come together not just for exercise but also to support local causes. In 2026, the Hog Jog will raise funds specifically for The Emily Murphy Centre in Stratford, a vital organization that provides critical services to women and children affected by violence.
The course venue is firm yet slightly soft, reflecting typical trail conditions this time of year. Participants can expect an out-and-back route with notable features such as gentle hills and scenic turns through the park. Elevation changes are minimal but noticeable, ensuring a varied experience for all runners. The race offers a 3.5K not timed, a 3.5K timed, a 10K run for adults, and a 10K youth event.
