Højsted Jule Halvmaraton

Join us for the charming Højsted Jule Halvmaraton on December 19, 2026, where runners can enjoy a festive and informal half marathon through Føllenslev. This race offers approximately 21 kilometers of scenic routes with mostly asphalt roads but includes about 3.5 kilometers of forest trails on gravel paths.
The event encourages participants to embrace the holiday spirit by dressing up in Christmas gear such as Santa hats or elf costumes, making it a uniquely festive experience. The course is designed for runners who appreciate leisurely runs and enjoying the winter scenery rather than competitive racing; there's no timing involved, so you can take your time along the way.
After crossing the finish line at Højsted Auto on Højstedvej 20 in Føllenslev, participants will be greeted with a warm welcome of traditional kartoffelsuppe (potato soup), water, soda, and snacks. It's important to note that there are no aid stations along the route, so runners should bring their own hydration.
Everyone who completes the race will receive a commemorative diploma as a memento of this delightful winter run. Don't miss out on an opportunity to soak in the cozy Christmas atmosphere while enjoying a scenic and friendly half marathon!
