High Easter 10k

On Sunday, June 20, 2027, the picturesque village of High Easter will come alive with the energy and spirit of runners as they take part in the annual High Easter 10k. This fast and flat course promises a challenging yet enjoyable experience for participants of all skill levels.
The race begins at 10:00 AM on quiet country lanes that are temporarily closed to traffic, ensuring safety and an unobstructed route for runners. The single-looped circuit winds through the charming countryside surrounding High Easter, offering stunning views of rolling hills and lush greenery along the way. Participants can expect a friendly atmosphere with enthusiastic supporters cheering them on throughout the race.
For those looking to achieve personal best times, this 10k course is an ideal choice due to its fast and flat terrain. The event also features additional portaloos for participant convenience and provides technical t-shirts to all finishers as a memento of their achievement.
The High Easter 10k supports three local charities: St Mary's Church in High Easter, which serves as a community hub; Monday Muster, an exercise class for village elders that meets every week; and Braintree Food Bank, providing vital support to families affected by the cost-of-living crisis. Runners can make donations while booking their entry or on race day.
Competitors aiming to push themselves further will be motivated by the £100 cash prize awarded to the leading male and female runners who beat the course records (men: 30 minutes, 40 seconds; women: 33 minutes, 49 seconds).
Participants are encouraged to register in advance as on-the-day entry fees cost £30. Detailed route maps and GPX files will be available for download ahead of race day.
