Join us on October 27, 2026, at the Diamond Bridge/Grandholm Mills area in Aberdeen for an exhilarating hill workout that will enhance your strength, speed, and mental resilience. This session promises to be both challenging and rewarding as you tackle a series of steep ascents along scenic cycle and pedestrian paths.
The event begins with a warm-up routine designed to get your body ready for the intense training ahead. After this initial preparation, participants will engage in an 8-minute meet & retreat tempo effort on a relatively flat circuit near the Diamond Bridge. This segment is intended to elevate heart rates before moving into more demanding terrain.
Following the warm-up and tempo run, you’ll face three sets of uphill intervals:
- 8 repetitions of 45 seconds
- 6 repetitions of 30 seconds
- 4 repetitions of 15 seconds
Each interval will progressively increase in difficulty as you ascend various hills around Grandholm Mills. The terrain is varied but manageable, allowing runners to push their limits while maintaining control.
Our group welcomes newcomers and offers coaching, encouragement, and advice throughout the session. Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just starting out, this event provides an opportunity for growth and camaraderie among participants.
