On Halloween night, the city of Hallowville transforms into a thrilling playground for runners and costume enthusiasts alike. The Hallowville Half Marathon is more than just a race; it's an immersive experience that combines spooky ambiance with challenging terrain.
Participants will start their journey at dusk on October 31, 2026, under the glow of flickering jack-o'-lanterns lining the streets and parks of downtown Hallowville. The route takes runners through winding trails in eerie forests where ghostly tales come to life, past haunted houses that send chills down spines, and over bridges spanning misty streams.
The course is a mix of paved paths and dirt roads, offering both flat sections for speed enthusiasts and hilly stretches that test endurance. With an elevation gain of around 500 feet spread throughout the race, runners will experience varying levels of difficulty as they navigate through the city's darkened streets and into its spookier outskirts.
As night falls deeper, racers are encouraged to embrace their creativity by dressing up in Halloween costumes, adding a layer of fun and camaraderie to the event. The atmosphere is electric with cheers from spectators dressed in themed outfits, creating an unforgettable backdrop for this unique running experience.
The race concludes back at the starting point where runners can enjoy live music, food trucks serving seasonal treats, and a lively awards ceremony celebrating both top finishers and most creative costumes. Whether you're looking to push your limits or simply join in on the festive spirit, the Hallowville Half Marathon promises an evening filled with excitement and adventure.
Registration opens in early spring 2026 for this annual event that has become a must-attend highlight of the Halloween season in Hallowville.
