Hex Hollow Half

Set against the picturesque backdrop of Spring Valley Park in southern York County, Pennsylvania, this trail race offers runners an immersive experience through diverse and challenging terrain. Participants can choose between two distance options: a half marathon covering 13.13 miles with two loops, or a single-loop course spanning 6.66 miles.
The route winds through low meadows blanketed in wildflowers during springtime and vibrant foliage in autumn, weaving into mature hardwood forests where the canopy provides cool shade on hot days. Runners will encounter sections of roller-coaster-like single track trails that twist and turn, offering both exhilarating descents and steep climbs. Pine-covered wide tracks provide a serene respite from more rugged terrain.
Throughout the course, runners can expect to navigate over roots and rocks while crossing two stream crossings that add an element of adventure and unpredictability. The elevation gain per loop is 1085 feet for half marathoners with three water stops along the way, ensuring ample hydration throughout their journey. Single-loop participants will enjoy one water stop on their route.
