Heping County Red Trail Challenge 2026 (“重走长征路·奋进新征程”2026甘泉县红色越野挑战赛)

On November 1, 2026, the "Revisit the Long March·Pursue New Milestones" Red Trail Challenge Race will take place at Ganchuan County in Yan'an City, Shaanxi Province. The race offers a challenging course that commemorates the historic Long March with two categories: the 25km challenge group and the 10km experience group.
The 25km challenge category, open to 1,000 participants, features rugged terrain similar to what the Red Army faced decades ago. It includes steep climbs, winding trails through scenic countryside, and challenging river crossings. The race is ITRA certified for one point and offers prizes based on gender-specific rankings.
The 10km experience group accommodates an additional 500 runners who can enjoy a more leisurely pace while still experiencing the historical significance of this route. Both categories celebrate the enduring spirit of resilience and perseverance embodied by the Long March, with all finishers receiving commemorative medals.
Participants will traverse landscapes rich in history, retracing steps that once belonged to brave soldiers as they forge ahead through rugged terrains. This event invites runners from various backgrounds to come together at Ganchuan County on this special day, walking in the footsteps of heroes and honoring a legacy that continues to inspire.
Join us for an unforgettable journey where every step pays homage to past struggles while forging new paths forward.
