On World Heart Day, the Aster RV Hospital in JP Nagar, Bengaluru, is hosting its third annual HEART-ATHON to promote heart health and encourage active lifestyles. This year's event includes two competitive races: the Strong Heart Run covering a distance of 7.2 miles (11.6 kilometers) for participants aged sixteen years and older, and the Healthy Heart Run spanning 3.6 miles (5.8 kilometers), open to runners ten years old and above.
Scheduled for Sunday, September 20th, 2026, HEART-ATHON will take place within the grounds of Aster RV Hospital, a state-of-the-art facility renowned for its comprehensive healthcare services in cardiology, neurosciences, orthopedics, organ transplantation, gastroenterology, and minimally invasive surgeries. The hospital's cutting-edge infrastructure includes facilities such as biplane cath labs, intraoperative MRI systems, and the Da Vinci robot.
Registration fees are Rs.1100 for the Strong Heart Run (including GST) and Rs.750 for the Healthy Heart Run. Online registration closes on September 10th, 2026. Participants will receive a timed bib, event T-shirt, finisher medal, healthy breakfast, timing certificate, and basic training in CPR upon completion of their race.
Trophies are awarded to male and female winners across various age categories:
- Strong Heart Run: 16–30 years, 31–45 years, 46–60 years, and over 61 years
- Healthy Heart Run: 10–18 years, 19–40 years, and 41–60 years
