Happy Coastal 2027 - RESERVOIR RUN

Welcome to the sixth year of the RESERVOIR RUN, an exhilarating race held at Happy Valley Reservoir in South Australia. This popular coastal fun run takes place on February 7, 2027, offering runners and walkers a chance to explore the reservoir's newly upgraded trail network, which spans over 20 kilometers.
The event features four distinct distances: a new addition of a 3.5km loop, as well as traditional options at 7km, 14km, and 21.1km – all starting promptly at 8:30am. The race course winds through the reservoir's diverse landscape, including pine forests, native flora, and open grassy areas along the water’s edge.
Participants will enjoy stunning views of Happy Valley Reservoir from a boardwalk jetty and lookout point while navigating scenic trails that have been meticulously designed for walking, running, and mountain biking. The event also includes amenities such as kayak launch areas, car parking, barbecues, picnic shelters, and more, making it an ideal day out for the whole family.
Registration closes three days before each race date at noon unless extended; those who register during this period may receive a generic finisher medal instead of the fully engraved event medal. All participants will still receive a finisher medal upon completion regardless of distance chosen.
The RESERVOIR RUN is more than just a race – it's an adventure that celebrates happiness, family fun, and environmental preservation in one of Adelaide’s most picturesque settings. Join us at Chandlers Hill Road carpark gates for the start line festivities, where you’ll find check-in from 7:45am.
Race day will also feature a “RUN HAPPY” theme with a trophy awarded to the individual who best embodies this spirit as voted by runners and volunteers alike. Your entry fee supports ACRF in their mission to help #endcancer.
