Halloween Forest Night Run @ Muratie '26

Dive into the eerie enchantment of Muratie’s Forest for the Halloween Forest Night Trail Run, presented by Sportsmans Warehouse and hosted by Dirtopia since 2013. On October 31, 2026, runners will embark on a thrilling journey through the historic wine estate's winding singletrack trails under a canopy of darkness illuminated only by headlamps and torches. The route features climbs to ridge-top vistas bathed in sunset hues before descending into Muratie’s dense forest with its hand-built tracks.
Participants should come prepared for unexpected encounters, as legend whispers tales of lurking zombies among the trees. As you navigate through spider-webbed buildings and spooky corners, live music from Akkedis adds an electrifying atmosphere to your run. Registration starts at 18:15 at Dirtopia Trail Centre; runners set off on a 10km course at 19:15 or a shorter 5km loop beginning at 19:30.
The event promises more than just miles and mystery, offering pre-entry discounts for online registrations along with exclusive Halloween-themed medals. Additional prizes await the most creatively costumed individuals and couples, rewarding them with Muratie wines, running gear from SOX Footwear, Sportsmans Warehouse vouchers, and other surprises. Refreshments include energy drinks, jellies, fruit, Coke at the finish line, plus cold wine and beer for sale alongside delicious grab-and-go meals.
Join in this spooktacular night adventure where every step brings a new thrill amidst Muratie’s hauntingly beautiful trails.
