The race day starts with the marathon runners taking off at 10:00 AM followed by two half-marathon waves starting at 10:30 AM and 10:45 AM. The course is a loop that follows the old railway line along the coast, offering stunning views of Göteborg's coastline and surrounding waters.
### Course Highlights
The flat and fast route winds through picturesque landscapes, with runners enjoying sea breezes and glimpses of nearby islands as they pass by Lilla Amundön at around 10.5 kilometers into their run. The half-marathoners complete one loop while marathon participants tackle two full loops, each marked every kilometer along the way.
Water stations are strategically placed approximately every four kilometers, providing essential hydration and energy drinks to keep runners fueled throughout the race. After crossing the finish line, all participants receive refreshments including water, sports drink, bananas, coffee/tea, and sandwiches at a designated area near the finish line.
### Registration
Registration is open online through MittLopp.se until October 9th or when spots are filled. Participants must be at least 17 years old by race day to compete in either distance as per Swedish Athletics Federation rules.
Runners can also transfer their entry up to October 7, 2026, for a fee of 100 SEK via MittLopp.se. Changes between distances are possible until the same date or on race day one hour before start time.
### Race Day Logistics
Number bibs must be worn visibly throughout the race and can be picked up at Friidrottens Hus from 8:00 AM to half an hour before each respective wave's starting time.
Post-race facilities include free changing rooms, showers, sauna (for a fee), and baggage check services near Slottsskogsvallen. Finishers will receive medals upon completion of their chosen distance, with the option to donate medal value towards charitable causes by placing it in designated bins at the finish line.
### Awards Ceremony
Prizes are awarded based on overall finishing times for men and women as well as age categories within veteran classes. Winners also have a chance to claim special accolades such as setting new course records or securing top spots in their respective divisions.
