Gordon Rural Action Santa Run 2026

Gordon Rural Action invites you to join the joyous celebration of the annual 5K Santa Fun Run on December 5, 2026. This festive event takes place at Huntly Nordic and Outdoor Centre, where participants can don their most whimsical holiday attire for a fun-filled morning.
The day promises three distinct runs tailored for different age groups:
- Adults: The main 5K race kicks off at 10:15 am.
- Children aged 4-8: A special run begins at 9:45 am, followed by tubing activities.
- Children aged 8-12: Another exciting run starts promptly at 9:55 am, also with tubing included.
Registration opens from 9:15 to 9:50 am. Participants are encouraged to arrive early and be ready for the start time, as all runners must line up a few minutes before their respective race begins.
The course is designed to ensure safety and enjoyment for everyone involved. Marshals will guide participants along the way, providing instructions that should be followed carefully. Water stations at the finish line cater to racers' hydration needs after completing their runs.
Post-race festivities include warm-up bakes in the Nordic Centre where teas and coffee are available for purchase. All runners receive a medal upon completion of their race, celebrating their achievement with friends and family.
Participants can park near the ski centre but should walk if possible due to limited space. The event is organized by Gordon Rural Action under UK Athletics rules and welcomes runners aged 12 years or older for the main 5K run. For younger children, parents confident in their child's ability are welcome to join as long as they commit to running alongside them.
