Glenview Gobbler Dash 5K Run/Walk and Kids' Race Join us on Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, November 26th, for the Glenview Gobbler Dash—a family-friendly race that combines community spirit with a scenic run through the heart of Glenview. This event is organized by Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Men’s Club in collaboration with Grace Network to support various charitable initiatives. The 5K course begins and ends at Jackman Park, weaving through Swainwood's picturesque streets adorned with autumn foliage. Participants can expect a flat, paved route that accommodates runners and walkers alike, making it ideal for all ages and fitness levels. The event kicks off promptly at 8:00 AM. On the morning of the race, packet pickup will be available under the Gazebo in Jackman Park from 7:00 to 7:45 AM, giving runners ample time to collect their materials before the start. Proceeds and support for this event go towards enriching community programs like the School Athletic Fund, Teacher’s Fund, Classroom Technology upgrades, Religious Education, After-School Clubs, and Roundball. The OLPH Men’s Club also aids in vital initiatives such as Youth Group activities, Endowment Fund projects, Sr. Paulanne's Needy Family Fund, and the parish’s Capital Campaign. Grace Network further enhances this event by providing year-round care through their 140+ schools across Chicago. Their work ensures that students facing hygiene insecurity have access to essential health and hygiene items, helping keep them in school and fostering a sense of dignity and equity among young learners.
