Get Lucky on March 20, 2027, with the exciting lineup of races along Ohio's historic Erie Canal Towpath Trail! This year’s edition features three challenging distances: a 25k, 50k, and an epic 50-mile trek. Whether you're aiming for personal bests or just enjoying the scenic beauty, there is something here to suit every runner.
Race Details
The races commence at St. Helena Park in Canal Fulton, Ohio, where participants will embark on a picturesque journey along the Ohio Erie Canal Towpath Trail. The 25k runners will head south towards Massillon and turn around near the Crystal Springs aid station before heading back north to the finish line. For those tackling longer distances, the 50k route extends further down to Navarre for its turnaround point, while the marathoners venture all the way to Bolivar.
Aid Stations
Throughout your journey, you'll encounter well-stocked aid stations at regular intervals: Mile 5 (Crystal Springs Parking), Mile 7.5 (Massillon Turnaround Point – temporarily removed after last runner passes), Mile 10 (Oak Knoll Park in Massillon), Mile 15.5 (Towpath Crossing RT62), and Mile 22 (an unmanned station with hydration). After the turn around, you'll find additional aid at Mile 35 (Navarre turnaround point for 50k runners) and Mile 40 (near Bolivar Dairy Queen back parking lot, serving as a drop bag location for those in the marathon category).
Drop Bags
For the marathoners, there is an opportunity to leave your gear at mile 25. Drop bags can be dropped off before race day or picked up after runners have turned around from this point.
Packing and Hydration
Runners are encouraged to carry their own hydration packs or handheld bottles for water and electrolytes throughout the course. Reusable cups will allow you to collect additional fluids at aid stations along your route, ensuring that you stay hydrated during your run.
Check-in
Packet pickup is available on Friday from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at St Helena Park in Canal Fulton or Saturday morning between 6:30 am and 7:30 am. Don’t forget this crucial step before race day!
Awards
All finishers will receive a Finisher's Medal upon crossing the line, celebrating your achievement no matter what distance you choose to run. In addition, awards are given for top overall male and female winners as well as first and second place in age groups.
