GEELKLIP SUMMER SLAM 2026: OCR; MTB & Trail Run

About the Event

Step into the heart of Middelwater for the GeelKlip Summer Slam on December 12, 2026. This exciting outdoor adventure offers three distinct challenges: Mountain Bike (MTB) routes, Trail Runs through serene farm landscapes, and Obstacle Course Racing (OCR). The MTB options are a scenic looped route of either 20 km or the more demanding 40 km course, both winding through Middelwater’s picturesque surroundings. For runners, there are three trail run distances to choose from: an easygoing 8 km, a challenging 15 km, and a longer training-focused 20 km option that follows jeep tracks across the farm.
The OCR event features two options: a shorter 3-kilometer course for younger participants or the full-length 7-km challenge with over 25 obstacles. The latter is designed to push individuals and groups alike while still being fun and engaging. If there's enough interest, organizers may introduce a combo option combining an MTB run and Trail Run into one ultimate double event.
Registration opens at 6:00 AM on the day of the race with waves starting from 7:00 AM according to discipline and category. Participants are encouraged to arrive early for coffee, registration, and to soak in the vibrant atmosphere before embarking on their chosen challenge. This year’s GeelKlip Summer Slam promises an unforgettable blend of natural beauty and athletic excitement.
Ride. Run. Conquer.
