Frozen Feet 5k Trail Run

Join us on January 2, 2027 at Creek Ridge County Park for an invigorating winter run as part of the Crazy Legs Race Series. Located at 7943 W 400 N, Michigan City, IN, this event promises to be a unique and challenging experience in a low-key atmosphere.
Participants will receive a one-size-fits-all winter hat and gloves upon registration, ensuring you stay warm throughout your run. The race begins promptly at noon central time near the outdoor shelter where runners collect their packets.
The course consists of two loops with distinct terrain features including roots and small branches that require careful navigation. Each loop includes a hill, adding an extra challenge to this non-pavement route.
Timing for this event is traditional; you will receive a popsicle stick upon finishing your run. Please return the sticks as soon as possible after crossing the finish line so we can finalize results accurately. Winners of overall and age group categories will be awarded medals immediately following the submission of their timing stick, but there won't be an official awards ceremony.
Refreshments such as snacks, water, and Powerade are available at the outdoor shelter post-race for runners to enjoy while socializing with fellow participants. Race shirts and hats from past events can also be purchased on-site for $5 each.

The Crazy Legs Race Series aims to promote non-pavement races across the Northwest Indiana region through innovative course designs and a welcoming environment. This event is open to all individuals regardless of sexual orientation, biological sex, gender identity, or expression.
We respectfully acknowledge that this race takes place on land historically inhabited by the Miami, Shawnee, Illinois Nations, as well as Lenape (Delaware) refugees who resided in the area over generations. We honor and recognize their contributions to stewarding this land throughout history.
