Experience the thrill of winter with the 35th Annual Frostbite Races presented by Advent Health! This premier winter footrace in Henderson County offers runners and families alike an invigorating day filled with running, fun activities, and community spirit. The event takes place on February 21, 2027, at the Lelia Patterson Center in Fletcher, NC. Participants can choose from three engaging options: a challenging 10K run, a family-friendly 5K walk/run, or an easygoing one-mile Fun Run designed for all ages and skill levels. The course is known for its flat terrain, making it ideal for runners looking to set personal bests in cool winter conditions. Registration comes with exclusive perks including a free shirt (while supplies last) and a commemorative finisher medal to celebrate your achievement. Top male and female 10K race participants can also look forward to cash prizes if they place within the top three overall, adding an extra layer of excitement for competitive runners. The day is not just about racing; it’s also packed with family fun at the Family Fun and Wellness Expo featuring Flurry the Penguin, a crowd favorite. This event provides a fantastic opportunity to engage in activities that promote health and wellness while enjoying quality time with loved ones. By participating in the Frostbite Races, you support local initiatives through your entry fees and fundraising efforts for iDream Athletes Foundation. The foundation aims to inspire young athletes to pursue their dreams by providing resources and encouragement. Stay connected throughout race day thanks to clear communication via email and text updates from organizers. Please note that while we are awaiting final government approval, the event details including date and course may be subject to change.
