About the Event

The Frisco Highline Trail Ultra Race offers runners an unforgettable journey on the historic rail-to-trail path. The course is certified and USATF-approved for all distances, including Boston Marathon qualifier status for marathon participants. With options ranging from a 50-mile ultramarathon to a half-marathon or even an 8K race, this event caters to runners of various skill levels.
The flat terrain and fine-crushed gravel surface make the trail scenic yet manageable, inviting both seasoned athletes and newcomers alike. The optional early start for ultra-distance participants allows those who anticipate needing more than 12 hours to complete their journey to begin at 4am instead of the regular 6am start time. However, runners opting for this earlier slot must be prepared for self-support until aid stations open.
Aid station support is robust along the route, providing water, electrolyte drinks, soda, gels, and fruit every few miles. Notable mile markers include Aid Station Foxtrot at Mile 15.5 (for 50K participants) and Hotel at Mile 25 (for 50-mile runners), where drop bags can be left for essential supplies.
Participants will start and finish in the Willard Middle School parking lot, with ample space available for vehicles. Porta-potties are conveniently located throughout the course, including designated stops every few miles to ensure runner comfort and convenience.
Whether you're tackling a grueling 50-mile journey or enjoying a scenic half-marathon, this event promises an unforgettable experience on one of Missouri's most historic trails.
