About the Event

Experience the vibrant energy and scenic beauty of Washington, D.C.'s historic Georgetown neighborhood at the annual Georgetown Half Marathon and 5K. Both races take place along the picturesque Chesapeake & Ohio Canal towpath, offering runners and walkers a flat, fast course that winds through lush greenery and past charming local landmarks.
The half marathon route provides an invigorating journey with views of the Potomac River and its iconic bridges, while the shorter 5K is perfect for those looking to enjoy a more compact yet equally scenic run. Both events cater to all fitness levels, ensuring that participants can take in the area's rich history and natural beauty at their own pace.
Whether you're a seasoned runner or just starting out, this event offers an unforgettable experience along one of America’s most celebrated trails. Join us on July 4, 2027, for what promises to be a memorable day of running and community in the heart of our nation's capital.
Participants can expect clear markings, well-organized aid stations, and enthusiastic supporters cheering them on throughout the course.
