FOREST CIME CHALLENGE 2027

Set against the backdrop of the scenic Jura Mountains, the Forest Cime Challenge is a three-day cycling adventure that takes participants through some of France's most stunning alpine landscapes. Starting and finishing in Arbent, near Oyonnax, this event offers cyclists an unparalleled opportunity to acclimate for summer goals like the Haute Route or Gran Fondo events with its challenging yet rewarding terrain.
Participants will enjoy two nights at a four-star vacation center in Prénovel as their base camp while cycling through moderate mountain passes each day. The route is meticulously designed and marked, making navigation easy even without GPS guidance. Cyclists can choose between the Performeur category for experienced riders covering approximately 420 kilometers with around 8,800 meters of elevation gain or the Découverte option open to e-bikes enthusiasts over about 320 kilometers with roughly 6,000 meters of climbing.
The event features a mix of unchronometered liaison stages and timed climbs for Performeurs, ensuring that every day offers unique challenges. Cyclists will be treated to gourmet refreshments at three points along each route while enjoying full logistical support including baggage transport, repair vehicles, safety motorcycles, and recovery amenities like a pool and spa.
Aspiring cyclists can look forward to an exclusive experience limited to 150 participants with renowned French rider Alexis Vuillermoz as the event's patron. Upon completion, all finishers will receive commemorative clothing items, leader boards for each category, daily time trials at mountain passes (for Performeurs), and a medal to celebrate their achievement.
This unique cycling weekend promises an unforgettable blend of scenic beauty, camaraderie, and athletic challenge in one of France’s most picturesque regions.
