Immerse yourself in the exhilarating world of orienteering with NthAdventure Orienteering Club’s Thinking Sport Event on October 11, 2026. This unique race invites participants to engage their minds and bodies as they navigate through a challenging course using Google Maps or traditional orienteering maps.
Whether you are new to the sport or an experienced athlete, this event offers something for everyone looking to explore multi-sport expedition racing. The non-marked course is designed specifically for newcomers, providing them with a taste of what it means to combine running and navigation skills in one thrilling adventure.
Participants can choose between two categories: 5KM Foot O and 10 KM Foot O, both open to solo competitors regardless of gender. Race day activities kick off at 7:00 AM with registration followed by race briefing at 7:30 AM. The flag-off begins promptly at 8:00 AM.
The event includes comprehensive logistics support such as detailed maps and race bibs, ensuring that every runner is well-equipped for the challenge ahead. Basic medical services are available on-site to ensure safety throughout the race day. Post-race refreshments will be served around mid-morning, followed by a closing ceremony at 10:00 AM.
All athletes who complete the course will receive medals and an unforgettable experience that highlights the essence of orienteering. NthAdventure adheres strictly to Leave No Trace (LNT) principles; participants must carry out all waste they generate during the race or face disqualification without prior notice.
