FlatRock

Nestled in the heart of Kansas, FlatRock Trail Ultra offers an unforgettable adventure through rugged terrain and stunning scenery. The centerpiece of this trail series is the 50K distance on September 26th, part of the legendary FlatRock Triple Crown Series that challenges runners with technical single-track trails winding along the Elk River Hiking Trail.
The course features unique limestone bluffs and picturesque vistas, making it a must-run destination for any serious ultrarunner. Aid stations are thoughtfully placed every few miles to provide water, electrolyte drinks, and hearty snacks like soup and sandwiches, ensuring runners stay fueled throughout their journey.
On the evening before the race, participants can enjoy a pre-race dinner of spaghetti with vegetarian and gluten-free options at packet pickup. Drop bags are permitted for 50K runners only, providing an opportunity to leave essential gear at designated aid stations along the route.
FlatRock Trail Ultra fosters a supportive community atmosphere, rewarding volunteers with discounts on future races and offering military personnel special entry fees as a token of appreciation. Race photos by Mile 90 Photography capture every moment for those who want mementos from their adventure.
With its rich history and challenging course, FlatRock Trail Ultra is more than just a race—it's an experience that immerses runners in the natural beauty and spirit of Kansas like never before.
