Embrace the spirit of winter and kick off 2027 with the Wells WinterFitness Challenge, an annual celebration designed to keep you active through the colder months. This year’s edition offers three distinct challenges tailored for all fitness levels and age groups. The first challenge is the Wells Winter 100 Mile Challenge, inviting participants to log a total of 100 miles between January 1st and March 21st. Whether walking or running, this commitment spans approximately four months with an average weekly goal of just ten miles. For those looking for a long-term fitness journey, the Wells Winter Fitness Minutes Challenge beckons you to accumulate 1,800 minutes in any activity that gets your heart pumping—be it cycling, swimming, yoga, or even pickleball. This challenge can be completed by dedicating about three hours of physical activity each week. For young athletes aged twelve and under, the Kids 50 Mile Challenge provides a fun way to join the action. With an average weekly goal of five miles, this initiative encourages children to stay active throughout winter until spring arrives. All participants will receive access to dedicated Strava groups where they can track their progress, view leaderboards, and connect with fellow challengers. Additionally, upon completion by March 31st, you’ll earn a commemorative medal and a specially designed T-shirt for each challenge completed. Submitting photos and comments on the Wells Winter Challenge’s social media platforms also grants opportunities to win additional prizes and discounts. Registration includes detailed instructions on how to submit your mileage via Strava or email, as well as a printable log sheet for manual tracking. A reminder will be sent out at the start of each challenge to keep you motivated throughout the winter season. T-shirts are available for pickup from February 1st onwards in Bluffton, IN, with an option to opt-in for mailing during registration if local pick-up isn’t feasible. Join us this year and make a commitment to fitness, fun, and community-building. No matter how cold it gets outside, the Wells WinterFitness Challenge will keep your spirits warm and active all winter long.
