The event takes a relaxed approach with its free-ride format, allowing participants to set their own pace while enjoying the camaraderie of fellow riders sharing the same course on the same day. Safety is paramount, with insurance coverage included for peace of mind.
Starting at Yamanashi Station South Exit Plaza, cyclists embark on a scenic route that takes them through downtown Kofu before heading north towards the charming town of Fujiyoshida, where views of Mount Fuji and the surrounding peaks are breathtaking. The course then follows the foothills of the Southern Alps as it heads southward.
A key highlight is the Fruit Line, a picturesque stretch filled with orchards and farms that showcase Yamanashi's renowned fruit production. Along the way, cyclists can enjoy rest stops at designated aid stations like the Fuji River Rest Area before tackling some rolling hills near the basin’s southern edge.
Upon completion of this 113.7km journey with an elevation gain of 1,767 meters, participants receive a digital reward in the form of a finish card and special cycling currency on their app (limited to first-time stage completers).
