Findley Lake Triathlon Festival

Nestled along the picturesque shores of Findley Lake, New York, the ninth edition of this beloved triathlon promises an unforgettable experience for athletes and spectators alike. Situated just two hours south of Buffalo and within easy reach from Erie, Pennsylvania, the event offers a stunning backdrop against which to challenge yourself.
The Sprint race kicks off with a refreshing 750-meter swim in Findley Lake's clear waters before transitioning into a hilly bike course spanning 14.44 miles. The terrain varies throughout this leg of the journey, providing both technical and endurance challenges for cyclists. After completing their ride, participants transition to a flat and fast five-kilometer run along the lakeshore, offering panoramic views as they race towards the finish line.
For those looking to push themselves further, the Olympic distance event doubles down on the challenge with two loops of both swim and bike courses. The 10K running segment then takes athletes around the lake before guiding them back to their turnaround points for an exhilarating conclusion.
Paratriathletes are also invited to participate in this inclusive race environment, ensuring that everyone has a chance to showcase their skills against breathtaking scenery. Additionally, AquaBike competitors can enjoy the swim and bike portions without having to tackle the run, making it perfect for those who prefer not to transition onto land-based terrain.
For athletes aiming even higher, the Double Findley option presents an ambitious challenge: complete both the Sprint race starting at 7:00 am and then return by 9:00 am to compete in either the Olympic Triathlon or AquaBike event. This unique experience comes with extra swag and bragging rights for those who successfully conquer it.
Relay teams of two or three are also welcome, adding a team dynamic to both Sprint and Olympic events. Whether racing solo or as part of a relay unit, there's no pressure from cut-off times during any portion of the competition—a feature that allows participants to focus on their performance rather than worrying about time constraints.
With its scenic setting and inclusive atmosphere, this event offers more than just an athletic challenge; it provides a celebration of community spirit and personal achievement. So come join us in Findley Lake for what promises to be another memorable year of triathlon racing!
