Fietsvierdaagse Alkmaar

Welcome to the 35th Alkmaar Four Days Cycling Event! This charity cycling tour takes place from April 21st to April 24th, 2027. A unique feature of this year's edition is that you can stamp your finish time until 9:00 PM each day.
The event starts and finishes at Sportcomplex De Meent on Terborchlaan 301 in Alkmaar (entrance near Basic Fit). Cyclists have the flexibility to complete their daily routes between 9:30 AM and 11:00 AM, with an extended finish time of up until 9:00 PM at IJsbaan de Meent's bar.
Each day offers three different route lengths—25 kilometers, 40 kilometers, or 50 kilometers. Cyclists can change their chosen distance during the ride if they wish to explore more terrain options. The event features a variety of scenic routes including the South Route through blooming bulb fields and charming towns like Limmen and Castricum; the Schoorl Route along the highest dune in the Netherlands, passing through forested areas; the Molen Route via picturesque Alkmaar; and finally, the Bos- en Duin Route that leads cyclists near the coast.
The daily routes are based on a network of cycling nodes with specific numbers marked on paper. Cyclists can order these route guides during registration in step three. GPX files for each day’s route will be available shortly before the start date at no cost, ideal for use with GPS devices or dedicated apps to enhance navigation throughout your ride.
On Saturday, cyclists must have a valid PWN (Provinciaal Waterbedrijf Noord-Holland) dune card when entering and riding through the beautiful dune reserve managed by this organization. Without a proper dune card, participants risk incurring a fine of €109. Cyclists can purchase or indicate their need for a Saturday-only dune pass during registration.
This year’s event continues to support charitable causes as it has done since its inception, offering cyclists the chance to enjoy stunning Dutch landscapes while contributing positively to local communities and environmental conservation efforts.
The Alkmaar Four Days Cycling Event is not just about cycling; it's an opportunity to immerse yourself in the rich culture and natural beauty of North Holland. With a variety of routes catering to different preferences, this event promises something for every level of cyclist looking for adventure and scenic exploration.
