Festivus for the Rest of Us 5K Run/Walk & Kids Festivus Dash

Celebrate the holiday season with an evening of fitness, laughter and community at the Festivus for the Rest of Us 5K Run/Walk and Kids Festivus Dash!

Join Bosque Running Company on Saturday, December 19, 2026, at Expo New Mexico for a festive nighttime event welcoming runners and walkers of all ages and abilities.

The Kids Festivus Dash begins at 5:15 p.m. This fun one-mile event gives young participants the opportunity to run, walk or dash through a festive course while experiencing the excitement and encouragement of race day.

The evening continues with the Festivus 5K Run/Walk at 5:30 p.m. Whether you’re racing for a personal best, walking with family and friends, pushing a stroller or simply looking for a fun way to celebrate the season, everyone is welcome.

Participants are encouraged to wear holiday costumes, reflective clothing, glow accessories and plenty of festive spirit. The celebration will feature holiday lights, music, a Festivus pole photo opportunity, an “Airing of the Grievances,” family-friendly “Feats of Strength” and post-race refreshments.

A portion of the event proceeds will benefit Running 505, an after-school running and mentoring program that uses movement, positive relationships and community support to empower local young people.
