Farmstead Ultra 220km

The Farmstead Ultra, set for October 24, 2026, challenges cyclists to push their limits over an epic distance of 220 kilometers through the heart of Free State's picturesque countryside. The course is divided into two loops of 110 km each, with a cumulative elevation gain of 1,710 meters that tests both physical and mental endurance.
Riders begin early at Gaggle Inn Kroonstad, where they embark on gravel roads winding through rolling farmland and vast open skies. Each loop offers unique terrain, including long stretches of challenging climbs and descents, making it a true test of grit and determination. The route features three water points per loop, allowing participants to refuel and reset before tackling the next leg.
The Farmstead Ultra is more than just a race; it's an immersive experience in rural South Africa’s serene landscapes. Cyclists will find themselves immersed in a setting where every kilometer counts towards their personal victory over distance and fatigue. With no shortcuts available, this event truly defines what cyclists are made of as they conquer the unforgiving terrain twice.
Registration opens at 06:30 with the start time set for 08:00, giving participants ample opportunity to prepare mentally and physically for one of cycling's most demanding challenges.
