Farmstead MTB Challenge 🌟🚴‍♂️

Embark on the Farmstead MTB Challenge and immerse yourself in the tranquil beauty of Free State's farmlands, where nature’s rhythms blend harmoniously with the pedal strokes of cyclists from all walks of life. This unique event offers three distinct routes that cater to different levels of experience and ambition.
The Oryx Trail (110km, 855m elevation gain) is a testament to endurance and resilience. Riders traverse quiet roads under the vast Free State sky, inspired by the oryx's majestic presence and symbolic strength in harsh conditions. This route features three water points along its demanding yet rewarding path.
For those seeking a more relaxed adventure, the Cowherd’s Canter (60km, 415m elevation gain) invites cyclists to pedal alongside grazing cattle, reflecting on their connection to nature as they absorb the serenity of open pastures. With two strategically placed water points, this route offers scenic views and gentle terrain.
The Shepherd’s Ramble (30km, 225m elevation gain), designed for families and beginners alike, winds through quiet farm roads and expansive grasslands, providing a perfect introduction to the Farmstead experience without the demands of longer routes. Expect rolling hills, flowing paths, and breathtaking vistas as you explore at your own pace.
Each route promises an enchanting journey where every turn reveals new wonders of Free State’s countryside. Whether you’re pushing personal limits or enjoying a leisurely ride with loved ones, the Farmstead MTB Challenge offers unforgettable memories amidst stunning landscapes.
