Elk-Kings Trail Races

Experience the rugged beauty of Oregon's Tillamook State Forest at the OG Tillamook Forest Race, scheduled for October 16, 2027. Runners can choose between two challenging courses: the grueling 25K that takes you up and down Elk and Kings mountains, where scrambling over rocky terrain is a must; or the scenic 11-mile route along the Wilson River trail, offering a smoother ride without the steep climbs.
The 25K course demands strength and endurance as you navigate through dense forests and climb to breathtaking viewpoints. The descent from Kings mountain will test your quads but reward you with stunning vistas of the surrounding wilderness. In contrast, the 11-mile race provides a more gentle journey along the Wilson River trail, starting at Elk Creek and finishing near Smith Homestead.
Both races promise an unforgettable autumn day in one of Oregon's most picturesque settings, complete with cheering crowds and supportive volunteers. The finish line festivities are held right beside the river, where runners can unwind and enjoy the camaraderie among fellow athletes.
Organized by Go Beyond Racing, this event prioritizes safety and sustainability while offering well-stocked aid stations throughout both courses. Whether you're a seasoned trail runner or looking for your first challenging race experience, Tillamook Forest Race offers an incredible opportunity to connect with nature and push your limits in one of the Pacific Northwest's most iconic landscapes.
