About the event
Join us on April 3, 2027, for the Betty Walton Memorial Scholarship 5K Run/Walk, starting at James Madison University's Festival Conference and Student Center in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
Hosted by JMU Women in Intelligence and National Security (WINS) Club, Intelligence Analysis Student Ambassadors, and fellow Intelligence Analysis Clubs. This event honors the legacy of Elizabeth "Betty" Walton, an accomplished intelligence analyst whose dedication, integrity, and commitment to national security continue to inspire future generations.
Participants will run or walk alongside JMU students, faculty, alumni, intelligence professionals, and community members to raise funds for the Elizabeth "Betty" Walton Memorial Scholarship, which supports underrepresented students pursuing degrees in the Intelligence Analysis program at James Madison University.
Whether you are a competitive runner, casual walker, intelligence professional, student, or community supporter, your participation will help create opportunities for future intelligence analysts while celebrating a life dedicated to service and excellence.
