Elevation Vercors

Elevation Vercors, an annual bikepacking challenge since its inception in 2024, invites adventurers to explore the stunning landscapes of Isère, France. This off-road adventure spans 350 kilometers with a daunting elevation gain of 10,000 meters over rugged terrain that includes both challenging trails and rough roads. Participants can choose between mountain bikes or gravel bikes for this grueling yet rewarding journey.
The event kicks off on July 2nd at 7 AM, allowing competitors up to 60 hours to complete the course before the deadline of July 4th at 7 PM. The route features a mix of approximately 60% trails and 40% road sections, offering both technical challenges and scenic vistas throughout.
Competitors will have access to essential amenities along the way, with a base camp set up in Vassieux en Vercors midway through the race for rest and resupply. The event concludes at the finish line where participants are greeted with refreshments and support services.
Registration opens on September 12th, 2026, at noon, offering 100 spots to eager cyclists, including a special allocation of 25 places reserved exclusively for women until December 31st. The entry fee is €130, which includes the cost of meals and an informative briefing session on race day, as well as a film screening.
