About the Event

Immerse yourself in the wild beauty of Louisiana’s Lake Bistineau State Park on October 2, 2027. This scenic race features a challenging yet rewarding 10-mile loop that winds through the Blue Wing, Koasati, and Whoa Mule trails. The course is known for its natural trail conditions, including muddy sections, exposed tree roots, and varying woodland surfaces that will keep you on your toes.
Runners can expect two aid stations along the way: a fully stocked main station at both start/finish offering hot food like grilled cheese sandwiches and bacon, and an unmanned mid-course station around mile 5 with water, snacks, ice, and electrolytes. The terrain is mostly flat but offers enough natural challenges to make this trail run unforgettable.
Nestled along the western shore of Lake Bistineau, the park boasts towering mixed hardwood forests, open lake waters, and picturesque stands of cypress and tupelo trees. Beyond running, visitors can enjoy fishing, boating, hiking, biking, camping, and more at one of Louisiana’s most scenic spots.
Participants will receive race swag like a long sleeve hoodie, socks, and bib belts to commemorate their journey. The event offers finisher medals or custom buckles for all distances, with additional recognition for top three male and female runners in each category.
With ample lodging options including premium campsites and cabins right at the park, this is an ideal weekend getaway for outdoor enthusiasts looking to push themselves while surrounded by nature's beauty.
