About the Event

The Eiger Bike Challenge stands out as one of Switzerland's premier long-distance cycling events, captivating participants with its stunning alpine scenery and challenging terrain. Nestled among the Swiss Alps, this race is framed by the awe-inspiring presence of the Eigernordwand, a towering north face that looms over every rider throughout their journey.
The Eiger Bike Challenge is not just an individual event but also a cornerstone of the "Bike Marathon Classics," alongside four other prestigious races in Switzerland. This series has earned recognition for its rigorous courses and competitive spirit. Since 2018, the challenge has included an exhilarating Enduro Race, adding another layer of excitement to the overall experience.
Riders can choose from various categories tailored to their skill levels and preferred equipment. Traditional mountain bike routes are complemented by technically easier paths designed specifically for gravel bikes, ensuring that every cyclist finds a route suited to their abilities. The event's organizers continue to innovate, with plans to integrate the gravel courses into the existing MTB routes starting in 2026.
Whether you're an experienced rider seeking a thrilling climb through rugged alpine terrain or someone looking for a scenic and rewarding challenge, the Eiger Bike Challenge offers an unforgettable adventure amidst Switzerland’s breathtaking landscape.
