About the Event

Experience the grand finale of the 5 Peaks Trail Running Series in Devon, Northern Alberta, set against the backdrop of autumn's vibrant hues and scenic river valley trails. This picturesque race offers routes for all levels—from beginners to seasoned trail runners—each course providing a unique blend of challenging terrain and stunning views.
The event kicks off with a warm-up around a cozy campfire at the Devon Lions Campground before participants tackle the initial steep hill climb that tests endurance right from the start. As you crest the ridge, single-track trails wind down through lush forests to an overlook where runners can catch their breath while taking in panoramic vistas of the campground below.
The course then transitions onto 2 kilometers of hard-packed trail along the riverbank, offering a serene and scenic run amidst autumn foliage. The sport course loops once, the enduro course twice, and grit runners complete three laps for those seeking an extra challenge. For younger participants, there's also a special kids' race featuring a hill climb followed by a thrilling downhill sprint to the finish.
Post-race festivities include a warm-up area with fireside camaraderie and post-event food at 10:30 am, leading into awards presentations at noon. Shuttle services are available from John Maland High School starting early Sunday morning for those who need transportation assistance.
Don't miss this opportunity to run through Devon's picturesque landscapes on September 26th, 2027. Register now and secure your spot in what promises to be a memorable day of trail running amidst nature’s splendor.
