Den Fynske Øl-Rute Marathon 2027

On October 16, 2027, runners will gather at Cafe Arthur on the picturesque Søby harbor for a unique race experience that blends athleticism with local craft beer culture. Participants can choose from three distances: marathon (42 kilometers), half-marathon (21 kilometers), and round run options tailored to your preference.
The route is a 3.5-kilometer loop, starting and finishing at the bustling Søby harbor where ferries arrive regularly. Each lap offers runners not just scenic coastal views but also an opportunity to sample different craft beers from microbreweries along Den Fynske Øl-Rute. As you complete each round, a new beer awaits in the refreshment depot.
The marathon and half-marathon courses are designed for both seasoned athletes looking for a challenging run and casual runners who want to enjoy the local flavors at their own pace. The event is capped at a certain number of participants to ensure everyone has an enjoyable experience with ample opportunities to socialize and savor the unique offerings.
Registration closes on October 12, 2026, or when full capacity is reached, so be sure to sign up early for this unforgettable race day in Søby. The atmosphere will be electric as runners weave through charming harbor streets, enjoying not just a run but also a taste of local culture and camaraderie.
For those looking to extend the experience beyond running, Cafe Arthur offers braised neck steak with sides paired with one Ærø beer for an additional fee. Post-race festivities include access to Søby Harbor's bath facilities where runners can freshen up before heading back home or exploring more of this beautiful Danish island.
