The Delta Harvest Run is an annual community-driven race organized by the Delta Association of Realtors Community Service Foundation. This event not only celebrates the rich agricultural heritage of East Contra Costa County but also supports local food banks, pantries, shelters, and college scholarships for high school students in the area. Participants can choose from a variety of distances to suit their fitness levels: a family-friendly 1-Mile Fun Run, a lively 5K race, an invigorating 10K run, or a challenging Half Marathon. The courses are designed to be flat and fast, making them ideal for runners looking to set personal bests. Registration fees vary depending on the distance and timing of your entry: - For the 1-Mile Fun Run, participants can register for $25. - Early registration rates for the 5K start at $50 until May 1st, increasing gradually up to race day when it reaches $80. - The 10K offers a similar pricing structure with early bird rates starting from $50 and rising to $95 on race day. - For those tackling the Half Marathon, registration begins at $80 in advance and goes as high as $115 if you register on race day. Each runner will receive a custom t-shirt guaranteed for all who sign up by August 31st. Additionally, participants can look forward to receiving a goodie bag filled with surprises upon crossing the finish line. A token is provided at registration that entitles runners to either a refreshing cold beer or an ice cream treat in the Beer Garden after completing their run. Volunteers are also needed and welcomed; they will have access to early packet pickup on September 12th from 10:00am - 2:00pm at Fleet Feet Sports, Brentwood. Race day registration opens at 6:00 am for those who haven't picked up their packets earlier. The event kicks off with the Half Marathon starting promptly at 7:30 a.m., followed by the 10K runners setting out at 7:45 a.m., and the 5K participants beginning their journey at 8:00 am. The day concludes with the fun-filled 1-Mile Family Fun Run commencing at 9:00 a.m. All races start and finish at Community Centre/City Hall, located at 35 Oak St., Brentwood, CA.
