About the Event

The Dartmoor Discovery Ultra Marathon will take place on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 9:30 AM, starting from the Princetown Community Centre (PL20 6RF) in Devon, UK. This 32 mile road ultra marathon is the longest single‑lap road ultra in the UK, taking runners up and down some of the toughest hills on Dartmoor. The race has a course accuracy certificate and an Association of Running Clubs race permit (No. ARC/26/0077). The race limit is 275 participants (sold out 11 of the previous 13 years), with a 6 hour 45 minute cut‑off time.

All participants must follow event rules as provided by the organizer. Personal drinks can be left at 9 of the 10 drink stations. Race features include a quality bespoke medal for all finishers, a finisher's technical t‑shirt, free food at the finish, bag store, PA system, free race photos, a bar, and a free legendary after‑race disco.

Prizes: £200 for new male or female course record; £25 for any new vet category course record; 1st‑3rd male and female; age category awards (MV40,45,50,55,60,65,70; FV35,40,45,50,55,60); 1st male and female newcomer; 1st‑3rd male teams (3 to count); 1st‑2nd female teams (3 to count).

Accommodation: motorhome pitches at Princetown Community Centre (£10 per night); camping, motorhomes, and bunkhouse at The Plume of Feathers Public House (£10 per person per night for Dartmoor Discovery participants). Book via [email protected] or 01822 890240.
