Culbin Forest 8-hour Challenge 2027 (NU Limits Running)

Embark on an extraordinary journey through the serene trails of Culbin Forest at the NU Limits 8-hour Challenge, scheduled for November 20, 2027. This transformative race invites runners to push their limits and explore uncharted territories within themselves as they navigate a challenging loop course.
The event features multiple 4.367-mile loops around the forest's scenic trails, offering participants an opportunity to rack up distances ranging from half marathons (three laps) to full marathons (six laps), or even ultra-marathon territory with seven or more circuits completed within an eight-hour timeframe. Each lap ascends a modest 135 feet, adding both elevation and challenge.
Runners will be equipped with electronic wristbands that track their progress through each loop in real-time, ensuring accurate timing and results at the finish line. The event encourages self-reliance as participants must manage their nutrition and hydration independently; mandatory kit includes sufficient fluids (at least 1500ml) and carbohydrates to fuel endurance.
The day begins with a pre-race briefing from 8:50 am, followed by an official start at 9:00 am. As the sun sets over Culbin Forest, runners will have until 6:00 pm to complete their final laps before crossing the finish line and receiving recognition for their efforts.
