Discover the picturesque Castelrenaudais region at its best during this second edition of an invigorating race series. The event offers both junior and adult categories, making it part of the 11th step in the Regional Challenge for young athletes organized by the Centre-Val de Loire League. New features include updated VTT (mountain bike) routes and advanced chip timing systems for a more precise experience. Early bird discounts are available until September 20 at midnight for XS open and S open categories, so don't miss out on this opportunity to save! For young participants, the race offers several age-appropriate courses within the park grounds of Château Castelrenaudais and its surroundings. The VTT tracks feature a mix of terrain including paths through lush forests and paved roads with some technical sections for more advanced riders. The running events are equally diverse, starting from the charming park setting to a trail urban style that leads runners along the banks of the Gault river, blending bitumen surfaces with scenic dirt trails. Distances vary across categories: - Mini-poussins: 250m (VTT) and 1km run - Poussins: 500m VTT and two laps of 1 km each for running - Pupilles: A longer circuit with a 750m ride followed by two runs over 1.5 kilometers For older participants, the courses expand to include more challenging terrain: - Benjamins – Minimes open (XS): 2.5km VTT and 7.5km run - Cadets – Juniors open (S): A demanding route of 30km with two laps over 14 kilometers each The event day is filled with activities, including a bustling marketplace where participants can enjoy refreshments like croque-monsieur sandwiches, rillettes on bread and sweet crepes. Be sure to collect your race number at the designated time before heading out onto the course. Whether you're racing solo or part of a relay team, this event promises an unforgettable day in one of France’s most scenic settings. With its mix of challenging courses and friendly atmosphere, it's an ideal way for both newcomers and seasoned athletes alike to enjoy the beauty of Castelrenaudais while pushing your limits on two wheels or foot. Race numbers must be worn at all times during the event, so remember to pick yours up between 9:30 AM and 10:30 AM. The race starts promptly with mini-poussins events kicking off around mid-morning, followed by a series of races throughout the day until late afternoon. Don't miss your chance to be part of this exciting event that celebrates athleticism in one of France’s most charming locales!
