The Departmental Fire and Rescue Service of Meurthe-et-Moselle, along with the Dombasle-sur-Meurthe Fire Station and Physical Activities and Sports Services, are proud to present the 2026 edition of the Cross Departmental for firefighters. The day promises a range of races designed to cater to all levels and ages, with six distinct courses offering opportunities for everyone from young competitors to seasoned athletes. Each race will feature individual rankings, rewarding the top three finishers not only with recognition but also an opportunity to qualify for the 66th edition of the National Firefighter Cross in Saint-Galmier on March 27, 2027.
The event is open to all personnel from fire and rescue services as well as their children. Participants can look forward to a variety of age categories including Minimes (born between 2012-2013), Cadets (2010-2011), Juniors (2008-2009), Seniors (1988-2007), Masters 1 (1978-1987), Masters 2 (1968-1977), and Masters 3 (born in 1967 or earlier). Additionally, there will be a VTT category for those who prefer to compete on two wheels.
To enhance the experience, organizers have arranged hot meals for participants during lunchtime. For members of JSP sections, reservations must be made with the UDSF; other runners can purchase food and snacks throughout the day from Dombasle-sur-Meurthe's friendly supporters group.
The event promises a blend of competition and camaraderie as local firefighters work alongside their amicable support network to welcome all attendees. Everyone is encouraged to enjoy an engaging day filled with sportsmanship, community spirit, and memorable moments in this unique setting dedicated to the firefighter community.
