Corscombe Trail Races

Join us on June 12, 2027, for the inaugural Corscombe Trail Races, nestled within the charming village of Corscombe in West Dorset. This community-driven trail-running event promises to be an intimate and welcoming experience, set against the backdrop of a traditional village fête.
The race day will feature two courses: an approximately 11K route and a shorter 5K option, both weaving through the picturesque countryside around Corscombe. The terrain includes fields, tracks, public footpaths, and quiet rural roads, offering runners a natural yet challenging course with varied elevations and surfaces. Detailed maps and GPX files are available on the event website to help participants prepare.
Race HQ is located at historic Corscombe Court in the heart of the village. Runners will park separately off Norwood Lane, following signs to reach the race hub where they can pick up their numbers before heading out onto the trails. Both races start and finish here, ensuring runners return directly into the lively atmosphere of the event.
This small-scale event is designed for a combined total of just 200 adult participants, fostering an authentic village-race feel with proper organization and support. Race timing, clear course marking, marshalling, and medical assistance are all provided to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. Each finisher will receive a medal, while water and light refreshments await at the finish line.
The Corscombe Trail Races is not just about running; it's an opportunity for runners to engage with the local community beyond the race day itself. After completing their chosen distance, participants are encouraged to stay on in Corscombe Court to meet friends and family, recover from their efforts, and enjoy the festive atmosphere of the village fête.
This event aims to bring people together by integrating running into a broader celebration that supports local organizations such as FOSSA (Friends of Sticklands School Association), Little Acorns Preschool, and other community initiatives in Corscombe. By participating, runners contribute not only to their own fitness goals but also to the well-being of the village.
Come for the trails and stay for the fête — make a day out of it on June 12th!
