About the Event

On December 20, 2026, the magical spirit of Christmas will fill the air as runners and walkers gather for the Corrida e Caminhada da Magia do Natal. Held along Nova Petrópolis' historic Rua Coberta and Av. 15 de Novembro in the heart of town, this festive event offers a blend of competition and community fun.
Participants can choose between two distances: a scenic 3.5 km run or an invigorating 7 km route for adults, along with a family-friendly walking option. For younger athletes, there are special categories tailored to children born in 2018-2012, covering short but spirited distances of 500 meters and 1 kilometer.
The event promises a lively atmosphere with live music, festive decorations, and plenty of cheer along the course. Regardless of weather conditions, this race brings out a vibrant community spirit as runners and walkers alike celebrate health and camaraderie.
Registration is available until November 29th in various price tiers offering both t-shirt options and discounts for seniors over 63 years old. On race day, participants will collect their kits from 6:15 AM to 7:30 AM before the start of events at 7:15 AM with a walking event kick-off followed by the children's races shortly after.
All finishers receive participation medals and unique numeral bibs, while top performers in each age group earn additional accolades. The day concludes with awards for overall winners and the largest teams, ensuring that every participant leaves feeling celebrated.
