Step into the heart of medieval Chinon for the 22nd edition of La Corrida, an enchanting race that celebrates both family fun and athletic prowess. This year’s event features two distinct races: a family-friendly sprint at 7:30 PM covering 980 meters through charming local streets, and a more challenging 7-kilometer course starting just half an hour later.
The main corrida weaves runners through the historic heart of Chinon, offering glimpses into its rich past as they navigate narrow cobblestone lanes and winding alleys. The route begins in the Saint-Jacques suburb with a brief loop before diving into two circuits around the medieval center, where ancient walls and picturesque architecture set an unforgettable backdrop.
Throughout the race, participants will be treated to various festive activities along the way, adding excitement and local flavor to their run. As they near the finish line, runners cross back through the Saint-Jacques suburb for a final stretch before crossing the tape at Espace Rabelais, marking the conclusion of this unique urban adventure.
